Waitstaff /Event Server

Job Description:  Responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests.  Event staff provides operational functions before, during, and after events.  All duties are to be performed in accordance with Michigan food safety and regulations, as well as Waldenwoods policies and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes and maintains the highest level of customer service to all Waldenwoods’ guests.
  • Excellent hospitality skills and positive attitude.
  • Ability to perform various activities such as constant standing, walking, frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Works with little need for supervision.  Independently seeks out jobs that need to be done.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Sets up facilities for events including dishware, glassware, silverware, linens, and other amenities according to event requirements.
  • Polishes glass china and silverware.
  • Kitchen prep work; cutting bread, topping salads, cutting desserts, etc.
  • Clearing of tables following courses and refilling of food stations and beverages as needed.
  • Operating equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
  • Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance and adhere to the established dress code.
  • Punctual and good attendance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong task and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
